SOS: Support Our Singers

Road to the Lexus, 27 March and 10 April 2022

Eleven young Dunedin singers will audition in April 2022 for a place in the Lexus Song Quest semi-finals. Opera Otago presents two concerts featuring all eleven singers, giving them the chance to perform a selection of their Lexus Song Quest repertoire in front of a maximum audience of 100 at Mornington Methodist Chruch (1 Galloway Street, Mornington, Dunedin). Vaccine Pass Required.

Concert one (March 27 2022) will feature Olivia Pike, Sarah Hubbard, Erica Paterson, Calla Knudson-Hollebon and Marcus Millad, accompanied by Andrew Crooks.

Concert two (April 10 2022) will feature Lillian Gibbs, Rhiannon Cooper, Emma McClean, Scott Bezett, Ingrid Fomison-Nurse and Cathey Highton-Sim, accompanied by Andrew Crooks and John Van Buskirk.

~ Set in a high country store, two drovers seeking shelter end up entwined in the case of a mysterious disappearance.

Miss Brill – Directed by Clare Adams, Musical Direction by Sandra Crawshaw

On her Sunday stroll through the park, Miss Brill – in her best fur – has a life-changing experience.

*Featuring Jack Moyer on Cello

The Daughters of the Late Colonel – Directed by Kim Morgan, Musical Direction by David Burchell

~ A coming of age story about two girls navigating their father’s passing, and coming to terms with their newfound freedom.
